Road to States: Dawn of the Battle

Today, February 4th, is our fifth and final regional competition. Although we have already qualified for states and the US Open, we are still attending this tournament for the extra practice and to help other teams from our school qualify. For example, we are not submitting an engineering journal this competition, which eliminates us from the design and excellence awards. We are doing this so we don't take this opportunity away from another team who has not qualified, in hopes of giving another 12 (Potomac School Robotics) team a chance. Some other goals we have for this competition are judges interviews and alliance partnerships. We also hope to do well in qualification rounds so we can bolster our reputation to potential alliances at states. While we will still play as hard as any other competition, we will do all we can to otherwise help our brother and sister teams to qualify. We look forward to the competition, the practice, and we hope to meet some new teams!
