Excellence = ACHIEVED

On Saturday December,10th, we had an amazing outcome. We were bummed because Kelsey wasn't able to attend, but she showed her support through calls and texts, and it was our 3rd competition and we were all determined to show the judges and the other teams what the Starcatchers can do. We went into the competition determined to win... so we DID. At the end of the regulation matches we were UNDEFEATED and in 1ST PLACE! We were so excited! That meant for the semifinals we would get to have the first choice for our alliance. We ended up choosing 12G for our first pick, and they are another Potomac team that finished 5th, and is Akshay, Matt, Arjun, and Jake. Then, for our second alliance we chose 3623A. We definitely want to give a shoutout to both teams for being great teammates and working really hard until the end. Even though we finished regulation in first, we ended up losing 2-1 in the finals match, so our alliance officially ended the competition in 2nd place. However, because we did well in skills, autonomous programming, team matches, and our engineering journal, we won the EXCELLENCE AWARD. That means we were the OVERALL BEST TEAM at the entire competition, and it qualified us for the state championship and the U.S. Open (nationals). We have another competition soon, so we can't wait to meet and work with even more teams! Thanks for all the support! Go Starcatchers!
